East End Book Exchange is a general interest used bookstore in Pittsburgh’s Bloomfield neighborhood. Our collection ranges in genre from classic and contemporary fiction to history, philosophy, travel, cooking, and children’s literature and in condition from vintage to the nearly new. We want to be your friendly neighborhood bookstore.
We buy books in exchange for store credit.
EEBX was founded in the summer of 2011 on two simple ideas: love of books and love of Pittsburgh. We began as a pop-up bookstore dedicated to connecting booklovers and books in the heart of Pittsburgh’s East End. Each weekend we set up a bookstall in a community space or local business in a different neighborhood. Over the course of the summer, we went to the Strip District, Squirrel Hill, Garfield, Wilkinsburg, and Braddock. From October 2011 – October 2012, we operated as a bookstall. We are a member of the Independent Online Booksellers’ Association.
